United Visual Identity and
Website for Two Swiss Schools
Neue Kantonsschule Aarau (NKSA) and Aargauische Maturitätsschule für Erwachsene (AME) are two distinct Swiss schools operating under the same roof. Our team was commissioned to create a new visual identity and website design that reflected their shared identity while preserving their individual characteristics.
We achieved this balance by designing two new logos with bold typography and strong contrasts, allowing NKSA and AME to act in harmony while maintaining their respective brand colors to emphasize their unique identities.
The new corporate design was carried through to the stationary and other products used by the schools, ensuring a consistent look across all materials.
To further showcase the two schools, we designed and developed a new website with a focus on providing a lightweight user experience for content-heavy pages. Visitors can navigate the complex site smoothly thanks to clearly structured typography inspired by early-modern Swiss graphic design. Anchor links and on-page navigation enable users to access the information they require with ease.
A search algorithm dynamically highlights relevant pages as users type, simplifying the process of finding specific information on the site.
The website serves as a vibrant and engaging platform for both schools, optimized for ease of use and quick updates through an intuitive content management system. The straightforward design template highlights photographs, capturing attention and showcasing the schools' progressive characters. Student registration and other administrative procedures were streamlined, with admission staff able to edit form content, including conditional logic.
Our design successfully unites and distinguishes NKSA and AME, providing a positive and unique user experience for visitors while embodying the progressive character of both schools.
